June 2017 Update
Youth group is currently enjoying an exciting and encouraging time as we grow in the Lord together. As the culmination of our most recent study series at Easter time, we asked our youth to make a commitment to follow Jesus. Many have chosen to give their lives to Christ, praise the Lord!
Many of these same youth were able to participate in MACC's annual discipleship retreat. Ten of our students were able to participate, more than any other time in our youth ministry's history! The youth were able to finish out retreat with an awesome time of reflection and fellowship with a lock in at the home of some our awesome youth group leaders!
We are now studying the book of James, learning together what it looks like to live a life of faith in Christ. It has been amazing watching our youth wrestle with tough questions about what it means to be Christian and how to honor God in their everyday lives. It has been really exciting to hear how our youth are sharing the good news of Christ with their friends and families!
As we finish up the spring season, please pray for our students: middle/high school is a really difficult time to be a youth, and especially one trying to live for Jesus! Please pray they would be lights to the world and point people to Jesus through word and deed! Also, summer is coming and with it is usually a time where our ministry makes a big push to meet new youth in the community and welcome them into our group! Please pray the Lord would raise up more youth who desire to know more about Him, especially youth living in the neighborhood surrounding the new church building! Pray the summer would be a season of growth and fellowship for our ministry!
Discovering the reality of the Gospel.
Mack Ave desires to create a loving, stable, and fun environment that will enable youth in our community to experience the fact that true life is found in Jesus Christ alone. By knowing whom Jesus is and submitting to Him as Lord they will find the freedom, joy, and hope needed to become the men and women that God created them to be. Mack Ave youth will accomplish this in the following ways:
Events - game nights, outings, etc
Community outreach - community clean up, serving our neighbors, etc.
Study the Bible together.
Pray for each other.
Please check out our schedule to see what’s up and how you can be a part of MACC Youth.
