Update & Praise Report
March
On Sunday February 26th we baptized 5 adults and dedicated 3 newborn babies to the Lord. It was very encouraging to see white, black, and asian individuals from very diverse backgrounds claiming allegiance to Christ and a commitment to what God is doing in our community. Here are three excerpts from different testimonies shared on Sunday:
“Since coming to MACC, the Lord has done a lot of healing in my heart. It’s been a long journey of seeing my own sin, and then allowing God to use the community around me to bring healing. I have a lot of issues still, like vulnerability and fear of commitment as some of you guys know well, but the Lord has been good. I think most people assumed I was baptized already and I let them assume that, because I was a little ashamed that I still hadn’t done this act that seems fundamental. But I can see now that it is a good time, now, as I continue to grow in understanding of what it is that I call my faith--that the fight of faith is actually one of persistence against sin and surrender to Jesus. And that he is good and he is sovereign, and he is to be trusted.”
